Hair Mineral Analysis and Hair Heavy Metals Analysis
What is that and when should I do a hair mineral/metals analysis?
It has been proven that many illnesses are related to an imbalance of the minerals in the body as well as toxic load of the organism. These stresses can best be shown in the hair, as a hair analysis shows a long-term picture (several months) of the condition, in contrast to the whole blood analysis, which only shows a snapshot (48 hours).
Hair, like body tissue, is nourished by the blood and minerals and/or toxic metals are deposited in it in varying amounts. Some of the elements are excreted by the body or deposited in various organs. Hair analysis provides a reliable indication of mineral deposits, deficiencies or heavy metal contamination.
If you come into contact with metals or other toxic substances occupationally (road workers, mechanics, locksmiths, welders, etc.) it may be advisable to carry out this analysis.
Which elements are measured?
Major elements and trace elements: sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, copper, iron, manganese, selenium, zinc, lithium, molybdenum, vanadium, chromium, cobalt, boron, phosphorus, silicon, strontium, germanium, iodine, zirconium Toxic elements: lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, aluminum, antimony, barium, platinum, thorium, thalium, silver, berylium, nickel, uranium, tin
as well as important ratios between the elements.
How much does the hair analysis cost?
Currently (December 2024) the analysis described above costs €159. The analysis is carried out by a certified laboratory in Austria and also evaluated by a doctor.
